From April 28 to July 9, 2023 you can see the exhibition “Göç / Arriving” “Borsigplatz’da yaşayan 13 kadının dilinden / 113 women from Borsigplatz tell stories” in the Stadt_Raum of MKK . Here you can see portrait photos of Leopold Achilles. The focus is on 13 women from the first generation of immigrants who came to Germany in the 1970s and have lived in Dortmund’s Nordstadt district around Borsigplatz ever since. They tell their stories and memories of arriving and living in the city.

The exhibition is a cooperation between the Planerladen and the Museum of Art and Cultural History and is part of the f2 Fotofestivals.

We designed a book for the exhibition, which was given to the participating women as a thank-you gift. Copies are now also available at Stadt_Raum. Each of the participating women also received a high-quality art print of their own portrait. The book is bilingual in German and Turkish.
